Underwater solenoid valves for water feature fountains

More and more frequently, architectural fountains and interactive play fountains are designed in such a way that their regular operating mode includes changing water displays,  which may or may not follow musical sequences, accompany image projections, etc. There are fewer and fewer static water fountains in which the pump unit works at full capacity from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m., with the lighting operating from 8 to 10 p.m., for example.

Large water flows need controlling at low pressure,  which is how water feature fountains work.Read More

To this end, Safe-Rain has made an underwater solenoid valve available to its customers whose specifications make it very suitable for water feature fountains:

  • This is the IP68. This means that it can be submerged representing an enormous advantage since a great saving is made in pipes and the installation is simplified. If it were not an IP68, its relevant pipes would have to be taken to a dry room and then the basin of the architectural water feature would have to be entered once again,  resulting in related problems of load loss, watertightness loss in the pump room, etc. The operating voltage is 24Vdc, which makes it compatible with most Low-Voltage Regulations. To be specific, in Spain the maximum voltage that can be installed inside the basin of a water feature fountain is 30Vdc and 12 Vac
  • It responds very quickly to status changes and, most importantly, it takes the same amount of time to change from open to closed as from closed to open. This makes it much easier to program the electric control element, which is normally a PLC or a programmable controller.
  • The body is made of stainless steel.

Owing to all the aforementioned characteristics and its low cost, we are sure that this underwater solenoid valve (IP68) will easily meet all your expectations in any water feature fountain installation.
