Walk-through fountain and water show in Subótica

A GEORGEUS DRY FOUNTAIN FOR THE CITY OF NEW ART

Subotica, Serbian city, known for being the city of Art Nouveau. When our client contacted us to undertake this great project, we could not avoid a halo of happiness in our faces, not only because of the challenge of giving life to a gigantic dry fountain of more than 3,000m2, but also because it would be part of the daily life of the inhabitants of this imposing city of Serbia so linked to art.

Our client Alex E&C contacted our sales team to face this great project together. The City Council of Subotica, wanted to remodel the main square of the municipality. From the technical office of the Serbian consistory, they created a design that SafeRain validated. This defined the parameters they wanted and from our technical office, the elements that best suited the project were carefully selected: fountain nozzles, submersible pumps, accessories necessary for the dry fountain and electrical control panel.

Once all the components were supplied, our customer carried out the installation in coordination with the SafeRain technical team.

IN AND FOR THE HEART OF THE SERBS

This imposing dry deck fountain is located between the City Hall, the national theater and the municipal library of Subótica, in the well-known square of the city. Its construction lasted more than 6 months and from the consistory they allocated an important economic item for its creation.
In the words of its mayor, Predrag Radivojević, the idea was that this square would become the nerve center of meeting and socialization for the inhabitants of the city.
From SafeRain, we have no doubt that they achieved their purpose, Children enjoy this space, unparalleled, where they can not only have fun playing with the water feature fountain, but also, cope with the hottest times of the year.

AND WE WERE SURPRISED BY THE PANDEMIC...

It should be noted that, to the complexity of any project of this magnitude, on this occasion, we had to add a global pandemic due to Covid19.
Our team of technicians was going to travel to Subóticafor the start-up of the fountain. The control panel with Smart Fountain Manager Pro Max that we supplied had to control 7 hydraulic circuits and it was necessary to make precise adjustments of both software and hardware. Once done, they had to train the Serbian team to oversee the maintenance and operation of the architectural fountain. after the fact. Due to mobility restrictions, it was not possible for our technicians to travel, but thanks to the technology, the assistance was carried out remotely. This was a success thanks to the active collaboration of our client who became the hands and eyes of our engineers in Serbia.

Finally, the dynamic dry fountain was able to be inaugurated on time and fully operational. It is worth noting the gratitude received from the promoter for the effort made given the circumstances in which we were.

ELEMENTS OF THE PROJECT

The sales department of SafeRain recommended to our client the Waterboy Plus model for the walkable ornamental fountain. For this model the lighting is the SEA RGB crown. The dry fountain consists of a total of of 61 Waterboys Plus.

These are responsible for applying dynamism to the whole. Water jets that go up and down according to an established schedule, being able to dance to the tunes chosen by our client.

To complete this architectural fountain, due to its small design, its easy installation and its minimum sound pressure, 16 units of our Rainbow compact jetwere incorporated. They incorporate spectacular lighting of low consumption that, for its color, reminds us of the rainbow jet that gives name to this fountain nozzle. These water jets circularly crown outside of the dynamic dry fountain.

Given the size and complexity of this musical fountain, it was necessary to complete the set with a control panel that incorporated DMX technology thanks to our Smart Fountain Manager Pro Max. This technology allows us to develop a bespoke show in which water, light and music work in a fully coordinated way. Printing to the spaces unique features that surprise and amaze the public that enjoys them.
